- 1–2 pounds beef steak (sirloin, round steak, chuck steak, or similar)
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- 1–1½ teaspoons salt and freshly ground black pepper

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Tear off two large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil, or use one large sheet folded over to completely seal the ingredients.
Step 2: Prepare the Onions
Place the sliced onions in a large bowl.
